I have 20 years experience as a Senior Executive in the Australian Public Service and Victorian Public Service.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), a Bachelor of Law (Honours), a Master of Laws and am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

With a career that has spanned indigenous policy, workplace relations, education and child care, social service and enabling services, I have successfully led strategic policy design, legislative development, program and  service delivery and corporate governance.

As a leader I always strived to:

• build a shared vision that valued diverse thinking, inspired actions and empowered staff
• encourage new ways of thinking to drive innovation and organisational transformation
• establish effective governance to align strategy, capability and resources
• foster influential partnerships across the public service and diverse stakeholders

As a person, I am motivated by solving difficult problems and seizing opportunities, driving reform and leading organisational change.

The diversity and scale of my leaderships roles has given me the skills and experience to navigate uncertain and ambiguous authorising environments,  and leverage the skills of others. It made me appreciate the value of open communication and collaboration and the importance of encouraging staff to think about culture, how to work together and what impact they can have and how to bounce back when things go wrong.
